Chris began his racing career early by competing in junior dragster
and go karting events all over the country and was successful in
winning a national championship as well as two club championships. He
moved on to road racing in 2006 at age 14. One year later in 2007,
Chris began his racing career in WERA West. He went on to dominate the
WERA West Novice class and ended the season with top point standings
in B Superbike & B Superstock classes. In 2007, he won a combined
total of eight novice championships, six of which were national
events, including podium standings at both WERA Grand National Finals
and CCS Race of Champions.
At the beginning of this year Chris began working with the Bazzaz
Performance team and by the end of the season had achieved a
tremendous honor when he was presented with the AMA Sports Road Race
Horizon Award, which recognizes the amateur competitor with the best
prospects for a successful professional career. He also earned
National #1 plates in Expert Unlimited Grand Prix and Expert Unlimited
Superbike at the WERA Grand National Championships.
The 2009 season marked the beginning of Chris’s professional career
and he looks forward to a long and successful career with Pat Clark
Motorsports, Ben Bostrom and the 2010 Yamaha R1.
